M/V Rio Negro Valley (SFVO)
Built new at Lindholmens Shipyard, Gothenburg as hull number 1080. She was delivered in February 1964. She was sold in April 1970 to Cie. Franco - Camerounaise de Navigation S.a.r.l, Paris, France and renamed to Bamenda. 1982 sold to Reefer Shipping Ltd., Malta and renamed to Nissos Serifos. Then she loading meat in Cork for Dakar in November 2, 1982 she have fire in hatch no.1 and the COČ-system was activated, and the day after she continue loading meat and depart to Dakar in November 14. Sold for scrapping, she arrived at China National Metals & Minerals, China 31 December 1987 for dismantling. . She weighed 6275 Dw.tons and had a speed at 19 knots. Rio Negro Valleys first commander was T. Johansson and chief engineer R. Sokolowski.
