M/T Elfnäs (SFDH)

Built at Lindholmens Shipyard as new construction, hull number 1009. She was delivered in April 1949. She was equipped with one Sulzer 6TD36 2-stroke singel acting diesel engine delivering 1.050 i.h.p. Elfnäs was rebuild 1963 at Ekensbergs Shipyard, Stockholm and she was lengthening and her loading capacity increased to 2.500 cubic meters. She was transferred from Swedish coast to vegetable oil traffic between Persian Gulf and Port Swettenham. Sold 1967 to Lennart Christenson, Gothenburg for 910.000 SEK. and renamed to Marlena. 1971 sold to Maritime Co. Ltd, Khorramshahr, Iran and renamed to Kian. She weighed 1450 Dw.tons and had a speed at 12 knots. Elfnäs first commander was J. H. Mattsson and chief engineer O.T. Planell.
