M/T Framnäs I (SFGJ)

Built at Lindholmens Shipyard as new construction, hull number 1010. She was delivered in October 1949. Framnäs was used to the middle of the fifties to load pure alcohol from Europe to USA and in West Indies coast. 1965 she was lengthening. She was sold 1968 to Ship owner Lars Johansson in Skärhamn and renamed to Tanus. 1969 sold to Åland and renamed to Tankmar.  1975 she was sold to Mastil del Mar SA, Panama and renamed to  Copetank. 1980 sold to Chandris Mar Services SA, Piraeus, Greece and renamed to  Elata.   1982 sold to Fana Mar.Co Egypt and renamed to  Al Fatemah. 1982 sold to Pyramids Navigation Co, Egypt with the same name. In December 23, 1985 then she depart Ras Shukheir she collide with her aft against the quay and get on ground. She was towed to Suez and she arrives on December 31, 1985 to be inspected. The divers found that she had bad damages on her ruder, propeller and some of her tanks. In the beginning of 1987 she proclaims as "constructive total loss". She arrived Gadani Beach on September 16, 1987 to be scrapped under the new name Imperial. She weighed 1450 Dw.tons. Framnäs was equipped with one 6 - cylinder  2 - stroke singe acting Sulzer 6TD35 engine delivering 1.100 i.h.p. Framnäs first commander was A. Lundgren and chief engineer S. Franzén.
