M/V Rosa Blanca (SLGQ)

M/V Rosa Blanca built at Nippon Kokkan in Tsu, Japan as new construction, hull number U93. She was launched 1 October 1984 and delivered 1 March 1985. She was equipped with one NKK SEMT Pielstick 10PC4-2V570 diesel engine delivering 11.120 kW. Resold 6 January 1993 to Furness Withy & Co Ltd and registered in Monrovia. Resold 9 January 1994 to Hamburg Süd. Resold 9 January 1996 to Peter Döhle in Hamburg. Resold 1 October 1998 and new owner is Carlo Maritime SA, Monrovia and in charter for Midocean Shipmanagement and renamed to Rokia Delmas. Her new signal letters is ELQA8. Rosa Blanca first commander was I. Lindström and chief engineer K. Hellqvist.

On 24 October 2006 the container ship Rokia Delmas, suffering from total engine failure, and was driven ashore by a storm on the south coast of the Ile de Ré. The vessel was anchored, but the stern of the vessel hit a rocky outcrop 1 natutical mile south of Couarde sur mer. The following day, the divers carried out detected a breach 20 metres long and 50 centimetres wide. On 2nd April, a fire started onboard the Rokia Delmas. On 9 March 2007, the salvage company began to remove the superstructures of the wreck. The last section of hull was hoisted out of the port of La Pallice on the evening of 28 November.
