M/V San Joaquin Valley (SKXA) 

Built new at Wärtsilä Shipyard in Åbo, Finland as hull number 1155. The start of the building was 1966 but after a fire she was delayed and leave the shipyard first in Mars 1968. She was delivered with 2  Pielstick 16 PC 2V at 12.127 kW. She was transferred 1981 to Sembawang Johnson Alfa Ltd. in Singapore and renamed to Durian. 1985 sold to Bell Navigation SA in Panama and the owner was Laskaridis Shipping Co.Ltd., Piraeus and   renamed to Frio Arctic. On passage from Falkland Islands - Vigo she get the port main engine wrecked  19 mars 1986 she arrived  Las Palmas with starboards main engine and the crankshaft on the port main engine was broken. She gets on one engine to Vigo. She arrived Piraeus on May 17, 1986 and she was repaired in Perama.  On November 9, 1986 she was repaired and depart to Durres. Sold 1989 and renamed to Reefer Uraba. Sold 1989 to Crystal Lake Shipping, Monrovia and registered in Bahamas and renamed to Crystal Star. She weighed 7900 Dw.tons and had a speed at 21 knots.  

13 June 1981 in collision with bunker barge LUTFALLAH in Jedda, she sailed 14 June 1981 without damage.

On voyage from Port Elizabeth to Sheerness she get damage of her machinery off the Portuguese coast. She was towed to Hamburg for repair.

On passage from Sheerness - Guadeloupe she get fire in the engine room and her equipment, 38 nautical mile south  Scilly Island. She was towed to Falmouth Roads, after the fire was extinguished she was towed to River Fal, she arrived River Fal on April 22, 1991. In November sold to Turkish buyer.  9 November 1991 she departs River Fal and towed to Piraeus. She arrived Aliaga on December 17, 1991 to be scrapped. San Joaquin Valleys first commander was T. Johansson and chief engineer G. Kjellberg.
