- Launched 18 July 1939.
- Purchased by the Navy 20 September 1940;
converted by Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, Pa. and classified as USS
ARCTURUS (AK18) and commissioned 26 October 1940.
- She was reclassified AKA-1, 1
February 1943.
- She departed Norfolk Navy Yard, Portsmouth,
Va. She was decommissioned there 3 April 1946.
- Struck from the Naval Register, 5 juni 1946.
- Sold 24 July 1947 to Compania Naviera Puerta
del Sur, Panama owned by Johnson.
- Rebuilded
at Lindholmens Shipyard, Gothenburg 1949.
- Sold for scrapping, she arrived Sakaide, Japan 15 August 1971 for
dismantling.
