M/S Star Bellatrix (SLYT)
- Built at Burntisland Shipbuilding Co., Scottland as
new construction, hull number 362,
as Capetan
Cardamillitis for a Greek owner 1956. She was bought 1958 by Rederi AB
Nordstjernan and renamed to Star Bellatrix. She was sold
to Tilemachos Shipping Corp, Monrovia 1978 renamed to Tilemachos.
Sold in March 1983 to Seagull Shipping Corp, Valetta with same name. 1987
sold for scrapping to India, renamed to Tel Star. Sold
for scrapping, she was towed from Mogadisco to Alang. She arrived at Western
Shipbreaking, Port Alang, India 19 February 1987 for dismantling.The
scrapping commenced 22 April 1987 and was completed 31 July 1987.
- Star Bellatrix was equipped with one 7 - cylinder 2 - stroke
single-acting Burmeister & Wain delivering 5500 h.p.
