Built at Kockum Mekaniska
Verkstad AB in Malmö as new construction, hull number 249 she was launched in
July 1947 for Rederi AB Soya in Stockholm.
Bohéme´s first voyage started 27 July 1947
from Malmö to Gothenburg loading cargo for U.S.A. She departs to Sweden in
the summer 1948 loaded with fruit and grain from Australia. In May 1950
she was sold to Rederi AB Nordstjernan. In 1954 she get in typhoon center in
the South China Sea and she lose some of her hatches in several cargo holds, and
the cargo holds begin to be filed up with water. With 30° list she Hon tog
sig med 30 graders slagsida i hamn. She was saved 1972 by some Japanese
tugboats after she nearly was sunked then she come in to a typhoon and get a big
leak in her engine room. Sold for scrapping, arrived at Khaosiung,Taiwan
23 February 1973 for dismantling. Thai was equipped with one saltwater chilled 6 - cylinder double-acting
2 - stroke Kockum MAN delivering 6000 h.p.-
